Ben grew up in the advertising equivalent of Footloose. A small Aussie village where billboards are still banned and the only TV channel had no ads at all. So everything he knows about advertising he learned from annuals, smuggled across the border, often in pieces. This would create its own challenges if an ad was accidentally reassembled the wrong way around.

It also formed his belief that the best work earns people’s attention instead of demanding it. Ben has created highly successful campaigns across markets as diverse as the US, UK, Japan, China, Middle East, South Africa, Hong Kong, New Zealand and his native Australia.

His work has been awarded at every major international creative and effectiveness show, and he has been ranked equal 4th in the world as both a writer and art director by the World Advertising Research Center (WARC).

However the best reward, as always, is a happy client with a reasonably efficient finance department.
